No, you can use our specially designed paper-based data sheets to enter your information while in the field; this information can then be entered into the system through the desktop version of XenBee.
You can operate at whichever level you choose; Site, Hive, Queen or Super. Just remember that the level and quality of information you are able to report on depends on the level of information you enter. If you record at the Site level only, then you can track at the Site level only.
Only those whom you have authorised to do so.
This is achieved by attaching a code and/or barcode to the hive and recording it in XenBee. The barcode is then scanned by the barcode reader attached to the handheld computer, which makes the hive information immediately available to you. If you are not using a handheld computer with barcode scanner, you can locate the hive from a list on XenBee desktop.
XenBee requires any handheld running WINDOWS MOBILE. Xenacom has carried out the trials for XenBee using various handheld devices. Please contact us for furethr information and pricing. .
Barcodes are optional. In case you would like to use them, any barcodes should work specifically barcodes fitting these specs: UPC/EAN (UPCE0, UPCE1, UPCA, EAN8, EAN13), CODABAR, MSI, CODE39, CODE11, CODE93, CODE128, D2OF5, TRIOPTIC39, or WEBCODE.
